Who we are
The service is operated by Motif (motif.report). Contact: support@motif.report.
What this service is
A small service that stores take-homes and take-home audits that you choose to publish from ChatGPT, and shows them at links on this site. It has no accounts and no login. It is intended for people aged 13 and over, and in practice for adults who hire.
What we store, and why
- What you publish. The text of the take-home (title, role, duration, context, materials, optional data table, task, deliverables, rubric, notes) or of the audit, exactly as sent by ChatGPT on your behalf. Purpose: to show it at its link.
- A creation timestamp for each published page. Purpose: operations and abuse handling.
- Two secrets per take-home, held as follows. A manage token, of which we keep only a one-way hash, so we can check it when you unpublish but cannot recover it. A reviewer key, which we keep in plain form so we can check the reviewer link. It only unlocks the reviewer view and cannot change or delete anything.
- Rate-limit counters. To stop abuse we count publishes per network address and, when ChatGPT provides one, per its anonymous per-user identifier, by hour and by day. Both values are combined with a secret server-side salt and hashed before they are used, and we do not store raw IP addresses. Counters expire within about a day (at most 25 hours).
What we do not collect
The formats have no fields for candidate names, emails or other personal details, and we ask you not to put personal information about real people in anything you publish. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party fonts on these pages.
Who receives data
Cloudflare hosts the service and processes requests to deliver it. Cloudflare keeps its own standard operational logs under its own retention policy. We keep no request logs of our own. The text you send passes through ChatGPT (operated by OpenAI), which has its own privacy policy. We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone else.
Public by design
A published page can be opened by anyone who has its link. New pages ask search engines not to index them, but links can still be shared and copied. Do not publish anything confidential.
Retention
Published content stays until it is unpublished by the person who published it, or removed by us after a report or for breaking the terms. Rate-limit counters expire within about a day (at most 25 hours).
Your rights
You can unpublish a page at any time from its manage link, or by asking ChatGPT to unpublish it, and it is deleted right away (other edge locations can take up to about a minute to stop showing it). If you lost your manage link, email support@motif.report with the page link and we will remove it. You can also email us to ask what we hold about a page, to have it corrected or removed, or to raise a concern.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: support@motif.report.
